An okonomiyaki restaurant with a long history

To make okonomiyaki, you mix wheat flour (okonomiyaki powder) with cabbage, meat and seafood, cooked on a steel plate, adding sauce, dried bonito shavings and seaweed, and then cut into small pieces and served. Originally it was a specialty of Osaka or Hiroshima, but in fact the number of Okonomiyaki restaurant in Tokyo is increasing. This restaurant has a 50-year history, is operated by the same family and is very popular with locals. Elementary school students who often came to eat with their families in the past are now high school student and are helping as part-time workers. In addition to Okonomiyaki, there is also Monjayaki which is a specialty of Tokyo.

In the extensive menu, only two items are more than 1000 yen

In the menus of both the Okonomiyaki and Monjayaki, only two dishes are priced at over 1,000 yen. There is lots of choice, from regular fillings of pork and beef to unique filling such as clams, crabs and curry. The most recommended is Hamasakuten and Hamasaku Monja which are the specialty of this restaurant and the best ingredients from each menu are concentrated into a single dish.
