This museum focuses on the history of the downtown area and the way of life in this community. On the first floor, visitors can see reproductions of downtown spaces, such as tenement houses or well sides surrounded by alleys and stores. I get nervous indoors and can see tools used by hand in daily life. Exhibits include maps, photographs, the turn level, public baths, and seasonal and annual events. Documents on the second floor detail the history of the Taito-ku area, and a special area allows visitors to play with old-fashioned toys. On the weekends, see demonstrations of Japanese folk crafts and traditional street picture-story shows.
