This is a memorial hall of one of the most popular movie series produced in Japan, “Otokowa Tsuraiyo”, which has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest-running movie series in the world. Visitors may sit on the floor of the studio set of “Kurumaya” and watch precious scenes involving make-up and the inspection of clothing, tools and articles actually used in the movies. The warmth shown by the residents in the downtown area that welcomes visitors and comforts their soul before they even realize it, is the cultural heritage and spiritual home of the Japanese people.
